CNC Field Service Technician

Position: CNC Field Service Technician

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7:30am - 5:00pm

Type: Full-Time

Our client is seeking a reliable Field Service Technician for a Direct Placement position with our prominent manufacturing client. To be considered for this role, you must possess 2-5 years of relevant experience as a service technician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics, encompassing high voltage (220-440v), low voltage (12v-24v), and combined systems. Capable of utilizing a schematic and multimeter for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Advanced knowledge and operation of a multimeter for testing voltage, current, and resistance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of PLCs and their integration with power supplies, inputs and outputs, various switches, and an HMI.
  • Familiarity with servo drives and motion control.
  • Ability to interpret pneumatic schematics.
  • Skilled in disassembly and re-assembly of complex electro-mechanical assemblies using appropriate hand and power tools.
  • Eager to learn the fundamentals of CNC lathe control (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, etc.) and lathe programming, specifically in relation to magazine bar feeding and CNC lathe part processing.
  • Professional interaction with key customers (end users and OEM-dealers) prior to, during, and following bar feeder installation and training.
  • Travel: 50-75% overnight travel
