Senior Electrical Engineer Opportunity in Wausau, WI

Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their expanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for documenting and standardizing the electrical aspect of their existing heating and refrigeration products, as well as developing new products and revisions to legacy products. This position is within a growing division of a larger organization, giving you the opportunity to have a significant impact on both the products and the company. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems for commercial equipment
• Document electrical systems of existing products and standardize them into various models
• Support products throughout the development lifecycle
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and engineering documentation
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers
• Lead product validation, testing, and failure analysis
• Work with Manufacturing to troubleshoot production issues and improve assembly processes
• Partner with Supply Chain and suppliers to evaluate components and support cost reduction initiatives
• Ensure products comply with regulatory and safety requirements
• Provide technical support to cross-functional teams
• Occasional travel may be required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience designing electrical systems for products
• Experience supporting products through the development lifecycle
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with electrical testing, troubleshooting, validation, and failure analysis
• Experience with regulatory certification agencies and safety standards preferred
