Job Description: CNC Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Location: Bowling Green, KY

Responsibilities:

• Traveling to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tool equipment and controls
• Identifying areas for performance improvement on equipment; performing and promoting preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment
• Detecting and resolving issues with electrical and mechanical components
• Utilizing machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues
• Effectively communicating machine issues, install status, or machine repair status to customers
• Ensuring proper documentation is completed and submitted to the office and customer
• Exhibiting ownership of customer-related problems and coordinating with appropriate departments for resolution
• Participating in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay updated on new developments in the field
• Maintaining an in-depth technical knowledge of the company's product lines
• Staying informed about vendor products and new technology and implementing them as appropriate
• Conducting machine maintenance training as part of after-sales technical support
• Performing other assigned duties

Requirements:

• Preferred Associate’s degree in a related field; High School Diploma/GED required
• 5+ years of experience as a CNC Field Service Technician or Engineer highly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
• 3+ years of experience working with CNC controls; Fanuc experience extremely beneficial
• Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail with technical aptitude
• Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics
• Working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other related business programs
• Must be able to work unscheduled overtime without notice
• Valid driver’s license and auto/vehicle insurance required
• Ability to travel regionally up to 50% of the workweek; some overnight travel required
• Must provide basic hand tools for electrical/mechanical repair
