CNC Field Service Technician
We have partnered with an amazing CNC Machine Tool Distributor to find talented CNC Service Technicians! Join us as a CNC Field Service Technician in Rice Lake, WI, where you will have a crucial role in maintaining and repairing CNC machine tools to ensure top performance.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites in MN, WI, SD, ND, and nearby areas to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools and related equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Use manuals, technical documents, and support resources to troubleshoot complex problems.
- Communicate equipment status, repairs, and recommendations clearly to customers.
- Complete and submit service reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Meet customer commitments with professionalism and technical expertise.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers.
- Stay updated on new technologies and product advancements through training and seminars.
- Develop deep technical knowledge of all equipment lines represented by the company.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in repairing or maintaining CNC machinery.
- Knowledge of rotating machinery, spindles, and precision bearings.
- Strong understanding of CNC controls and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with great attention to detail and technical precision.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant business software.
- Valid driver’s license required and willingness to travel up to 25% within the assigned territory.
- Comfortable and professional interaction with customers and colleagues under pressure.
