Location: Waterloo, IA

Salary: $80-110K plus bonus

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing activities for all aspects of the supply chain. This includes driving supply chain improvements and efficiencies from product design to customer delivery, as well as sourcing and pricing strategies, inventory reduction opportunities, and supplier performance and quality improvement. The Supply Chain Manager will develop processes, manage initiatives, and direct activities that support manufacturing, purchasing, materials management, forecasting, scheduling, warehousing, and logistics, while evaluating supply chain activities to meet key performance metrics and business requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish key supply chain performance metrics and comprehensive reporting to measure all aspects of the supply chain.
  • Monitor vendor supplier performance metrics and engage in supplier development or corrective discussions as needed to resolve issues and drive improvements.
  • Maintain knowledge of logistic requirements, material management methodologies, and inventory control practices.
  • Select and manage suppliers, negotiate partnerships, and protect intellectual property.
  • Develop and execute inventory plans to optimize system parameters and material replenishment strategies.
  • Maintain inventory availability through establishing reorder levels and ensuring stock levels are sufficient.
  • Coordinate functional alignment with purchasing, material supply, demand planning, receiving, and shipping for new product development and design changes.
  • Ensure supply chain meets safety standards and maintains compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Achieve pricing strategy, quality requirements, and customer specifications through effective procurement, inventory control, and planning.
  • Lead and motivate the supply chain staff by delegating tasks and holding employees accountable.
  • Maintain professional relationships with suppliers, visitors, customers, and employees at all levels of the organization.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related discipline preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in supply chain and materials management.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required.
  • Proven experience in negotiation, procurement, inventory, and distribution management.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and industry innovations.
  • Computer proficiency with Syteline or similar ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office is required.
