Responsibilities
- Direct, coordinate, train, and supervise the assigned Quality Assurance Technicians and other team members
- Provide training and education on various quality control techniques
- Lead department and process improvement teams using lean enterprise techniques
- Drive quality measurement and improvement activities to meet both company and customer quality requirements
- Review engineering documentation and verify specifications with Engineering to establish quality and reliability standards
- Compile, tabulate, and analyze inspection data, and recommend improvements to address deviations from quality standards
- Conduct root cause analysis when problems arise
- Identify raw material and in-process product conditions through inspections and sample collection
- Analyze production and inspection data to determine conformance to specifications
- Maintain the product quality documentation system by developing and updating quality assurance procedures
- Collaborate with product service and warranty personnel to resolve manufacturing quality issues
- Advocate for quality concerns and ensure timely resolution
- Develop and administer a supplier quality assurance program
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred, relevant experience will be considered
- 5+ years of quality experience in a similar manufacturing environment
- ASQ Certification preferred
- Experience with metal fabrication and strong QA methodology skills
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
