Responsibilities

  • Direct, coordinate, train, and supervise the assigned Quality Assurance Technicians and other team members
  • Provide training and education on various quality control techniques
  • Lead department and process improvement teams using lean enterprise techniques
  • Drive quality measurement and improvement activities to meet both company and customer quality requirements
  • Review engineering documentation and verify specifications with Engineering to establish quality and reliability standards
  • Compile, tabulate, and analyze inspection data, and recommend improvements to address deviations from quality standards
  • Conduct root cause analysis when problems arise
  • Identify raw material and in-process product conditions through inspections and sample collection
  • Analyze production and inspection data to determine conformance to specifications
  • Maintain the product quality documentation system by developing and updating quality assurance procedures
  • Collaborate with product service and warranty personnel to resolve manufacturing quality issues
  • Advocate for quality concerns and ensure timely resolution
  • Develop and administer a supplier quality assurance program

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred, relevant experience will be considered
  • 5+ years of quality experience in a similar manufacturing environment
  • ASQ Certification preferred
  • Experience with metal fabrication and strong QA methodology skills
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
