Construction Procurement Manager

Location: Greenville, SC

An exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Manager is available with a well-established and rapidly growing home builder in the Columbia, SC metropolitan area. The company has a strong working culture and operates in multiple states within the southeast region. The role involves overseeing the cost management of assigned profit centers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cultivate new potential trade partners and maintain existing relationships
• Forecast the placement of trade partners in upcoming communities
• Collaborate with production to ensure trades are responsive and procedures are followed
• Communicate product changes to relevant parties and coordinate pricing adjustments
• Negotiate the purchase of labor and materials
• Conduct cost and price analysis for new communities
• Review plans, scopes-of-work, and specifications for accuracy
• Renegotiate contracts with vendors
• Research and provide analysis for necessary price adjustments
• Manage special projects and assignments

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
• Five or more years of experience in higher volume residential construction
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Previous experience with KOVA is preferred
