GENERAL SUMMARY:

An established company with a significant market share in manufacturing is seeking a Foundry Manufacturing Engineer to work at a plant site in Savannah, GA. The company offers major benefits, bonus potential, and a 401k with a 100% match to 5%. The selected candidate will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design production tooling using 2D & 3D software (e.g. SolidWorks).
• Implement productivity improvements on current production lines.
• Perform root cause analysis of failures and recommend changes using Lean Tools.
• Design and implement production processes for new products and design changes to existing products.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with 3D modeling software (specifically Solid Works) and Microsoft Office.
• Project management experience is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee may occasionally need to reach with hands/arms and lift up to 50 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection may be required in manufacturing environments.
