Foundry Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Columbia, SC

General Summary:

An established company with a strong market presence in manufacturing and a positive working environment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a plant site in the southwest Atlanta, GA metropolitan area. The company is investing heavily in new capital equipment. The selected candidate will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and be responsible for planning and designing manufacturing processes in an industrial plant to maximize efficiency.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design production tooling using 2D & 3D software such as SolidWorks.
  • Implement productivity improvements on current production lines.
  • Analyze failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs or processes.
  • Design and implement production processes for new and existing products.
  • Conduct FMEA's on new and existing products.
  • Review product designs for manufacturability.

Education/Experience:

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree, proficiency in 3D modeling software, tooling experience, project management skills, and automation experience. Foundry experience is desired. Must be able to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Physical Requirements:

The employee should be able to stand, walk, sit, talk, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:
