Our client, a leading organization in the casting and machining industry, is seeking a degreed Product Engineer to join their team due to growth. They specialize in manufacturing parts for the aerospace and defense sectors, and this role will involve working exclusively with clients in the space industry. Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer product lines, covering new product development, molds and tooling design, order review, initial production, and continuous improvement activities of established products
  • Create manufacturing routings and bill-of-materials to ensure the production of finished parts that meet customer requirements and specifications
  • Collaborate with Customers, Process Engineers, Quality, Sales, and Operations to drive product line improvements
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Support the identification and implementation of technical market strategies, contributing to new business development efforts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the foundry/casting industry, preferably in a foundry specializing in complex parts
  • Some design experience, preferably with SolidWorks and knowledge of gating and riser design
  • Ability to provide accurate BOMs and routings
  • Understanding of casting processes, simulations, and modeling
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
