Position Summary
A major, mission-oriented Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) network in Los Angeles County is in need of a dedicated, bilingual Physician Assistant (PA) to provide acute care and primary care telemedicine visits from an in-person clinic setting at its Highland Park facility. This role requires delivering quality patient care to a diverse community population using on-site telehealth infrastructure. The position operates in a supportive outpatient setting with structured weekday hours, managing acute visits and primary care encounters without evening or weekend call duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and treatment planning via clinic-based telemedicine technology.
- Manage an active clinical schedule, seeing approximately 30 to 35 patients per day with efficiency and care.
- Conduct medical assessments directly in Spanish without an interpreter.
- Diagnose and treat acute medical conditions, manage routine family medicine presentations, prescribe medications, and initiate specialist referrals.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Master of Science (M.S.) Degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensure & Certification: Active, unrestricted California Physician Assistant license and NCCPA certification.
- Language Proficiency: Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of professional work experience.
