On-Site Technical Support Personnel

Location: Irvine, CA

Service medical laboratory equipment (hematology, chemistry, coagulation, etc) for a leading manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers. Preferred experience in Field Service within the Medical Device industry. You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting automated robotic lab instrumentation.

Please note that for this position, you must currently reside in the GREATER ORANGE COUNTY CA area without the possibility of relocation. Additionally, good electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience is required.

• Base salary range: $65K - $75K, depending on experience (overtime & performance bonus can add an additional $6K - $10K annually, potentially more)

Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation
• Build and maintain strong customer relations
• Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group
• Maintain inventory, including tools and parts
• Provide basic on-site training on company instrumentation operation

Qualifications:

• Preferred 2-year Technical Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline
• Strong experience with electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting
• Availability for overnight travel
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a field service engineer
• Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation is a plus
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is required for this position
