Job Title: Fabricator – Machine Operator

Location: Harlan, Iowa

Salary: $22-28/hour

Job Summary of the Fabricator – Machine Operator:

The Fabricator Machine Operator will be responsible for operating fabrication equipment to create metal components based on blueprints, specifications, and work orders. This role involves ensuring safe operations, maintaining quality standards, and keeping accurate production records.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Fabricator – Machine Operator:

• Operating a variety of fabrication machinery including press brakes, rollers, punch presses, sanders, drills, grinders, shears, and saws.
• Using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, rules, squares, angle gages, and height gages.
• Practicing utmost safety while performing job duties.
• Reading and interpreting parts drawings, process routings, and production requirements.

Education & Experience Requirements of the Fabricator – Machine Operator:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills, including dimensions, quantities, metric conversions, algebra, and geometry.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, diligence, and time management skills.
• Welding experience is a bonus but not required.
