Position Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead the CI Department and support plant-wide initiatives to improve performance in areas such as cost, quality, productivity, material flow, and value stream optimization. They will also be responsible for developing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Green Belts/Black Belts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, mentor, and develop CI staff
- Integrate company Production System principles
- Analyze business processes and value stream mapping
- Execute strategic and shop floor initiatives
- Conduct IE time studies and process capability studies
- Manage and grow campus wide programs for Kaizen, Small Group, and Kaizen Blitz
- Champion root cause analysis and corrective action
- Develop and implement structured training programs
- Maintain master project lists
- Compile progress reports for management review
- Co-responsible for plant ISO compliance
Qualifications:
- BS degree in applicable industrial business field (IE degree strongly preferred)
- Minimum five years applicable industrial manufacturing experience (ten years preferred)
- Minimum five years IE, CI, Lean Mfg experience
- Must have 3 years of management experience in continuous improvement
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Formal problem solving training
- Ability to manage sideways through peer functions
- Highly proficient in MS-Office PC skills
