Key Responsibilities:
- Program and configure CNC milling machines to execute various machining and cutting operations.
- Use CAD/CAM software, especially FeatureCam, to facilitate machining processes.
- Make necessary adjustments and correct offsets to ensure that parts are within prescribed specification limits.
- Work under the guidance of the department supervisor with minimal supervision.
- Modify machine offsets and replace any worn or damaged tools.
- Assist with program management and guarantee proper documentation on work orders.
- Conduct visual inspections at designated intervals to identify any defects and perform necessary quality checks.
- Comprehend and follow written work instructions.
- Instruct others on machine setup and operation.
- Participate in team meetings and actively collaborate with team members.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities to aid the team in achieving objectives related to quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.
- Acquire and apply basic computer skills to complete work orders successfully.
