Senior Engineering Project Manager

Our client specializes in designing and manufacturing fully customized automated assembly equipment for various industries. They are seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to join their team. In this role, you will oversee projects from concept to completion, ensuring all technical aspects are addressed, including customer specifications, cycle times, pneumatics, hydraulics, and more. You will be responsible for maintaining project budget and engineering design release schedule integrity, while also identifying and resolving any technical issues that may arise. Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality automated production equipment to clients.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of custom automated machines for clients
• Manage resources and delegate design tasks for large projects
• Incorporate robotics, vision systems, welding, controls, and more into designs
• Communicate project status regularly with customers and management

Requirements:

• BSME or similar degree with strong mechanical design skills
• 5+ years of project design experience for customized automated production equipment
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Experience with welding, fixture design, and GD&T
• Knowledge of robotics, vision systems, and computer controls is desirable
• Ability to work with customers and suppliers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
