Controls Technician Position in Fairburn, GA
A leading company in Fairburn, GA is seeking a Controls Technician to join their team. This is a day shift position from 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday thru Friday.
The Controls Technician will be responsible for participating in cell design, integrating controls, installing automated equipment, building PLC panels, programming them, and ensuring they are operational. Other responsibilities of the role include:
- Installing air logic controls from prints or schematics
- Troubleshooting hydraulic circuits
- Troubleshooting PLC systems using a computer
- Installing, programming, or repairing programmable controllers and robot controllers
- Completing maintenance tasks using knowledge of fabrication equipment
Additional responsibilities include overseeing equipment operation, categorizing events within the equipment, working closely with engineers and the production team, conducting preventative maintenance, repairing machine controls, and training others.
The position is located in Fairburn, GA and offers an attractive hourly rate with paid overtime. The company provides major benefits and a 401K with matching.
Qualified candidates should have at least 6 years of experience in PLC programming, ladder logic troubleshooting, panel building, electrical work, robotic experience, and safety circuit integration. Candidates must be authorized to work indefinitely in the USA without sponsorship.
