Fabrication Engineer Position

GENERAL SUMMARY:

An established company in Augusta, GA is seeking a Fabrication Engineer to join their team. This position will involve designing manufacturing processes, analyzing equipment layout, and optimizing workflow to maximize efficiency. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the selected candidate will play a key role in achieving manufacturing goals according to product specifications.

This opportunity comes with major company benefits, bonus potential, and a 401k with a 100% match up to 5%. The typical working hours are 8-5, with the possibility of up to 45-50 hours in a week.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design production tooling using 2D & 3D software (e.g. SolidWorks)
  • Implement productivity improvements on current production lines
  • Perform root cause analysis of failures
  • Design & implement production processes for new and existing products
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to optimize productivity methods
  • Create work instructions, spare parts inventories, and more

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Requirements for this role include a Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, at least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience, and proficiency in 3D modeling software and Microsoft Office. Mechanical aptitude, tooling experience, and authorization to work in the USA are essential.
