Schedule: Monday – Friday | Shared Call Rotation
A well-respected healthcare system in central Vermont is in search of a Physiatrist (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician) who is Board Certified or Board Eligible to join their dynamic team in Rutland, Vermont. This opportunity involves providing a range of outpatient musculoskeletal care, neuro-rehabilitation, electrodiagnostics (EMG/NCS), and inpatient rehabilitation consults within a supportive community environment. You will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to enhance function and quality of life for patients throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer comprehensive clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and non-surgical management for patients with various musculoskeletal conditions, spinal disorders, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and neurological issues
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as EMG/NCS testing, joint injections, soft tissue injections, and ultrasound-guided interventions
- Conduct inpatient rehabilitation consultations and oversee personalized functional recovery plans
- Lead interdisciplinary team care conferences with various healthcare professionals
- Manage medical and rehabilitation plans, prescribe DME, and coordinate post-acute care transitions
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using the health system’s integrated EHR system
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, safety protocols, and patient satisfaction programs
Qualifications:
- Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Training & Credentials: Completion of an ACGME-accredited Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) residency program; Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Vermont medical license (or eligible for state licensure)
- Certifications: Active DEA registration and Vermont Controlled Substance License (CSR)
- Clinical Scope: Strong clinical skills in general physiatry, musculoskeletal care, and electrodiagnostics; interest in subspecialty areas (spine, sports medicine, or stroke rehab) is a plus

Compensation & Hiring Requirements: Final salary and support packages will be determined based on experience, skills, and training. All offers are contingent on successful completion of pre-employment screenings.
