Family Medicine Physician

A dedicated community healthcare organization is in search of a full-time Family Medicine Physician to join its health center in Long Island City, New York.

This direct-hire position involves providing comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population that includes pediatric, adolescent, and adult care. You will work in a clinic setting as well as partner community sites, delivering full-scope family medicine, overseeing advanced practice providers, and collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams to promote health equity and preventive care in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care and well-care exams for patients of all ages
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications, and inform patients about treatment plans
• Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, offering clinical guidance and support
• Coordinate care through specialist referrals, case management, and community resources
• Participate in peer reviews, clinical guideline development, and quality improvement projects

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine with an active DEA registration
• Current, unrestricted New York State Medical License and Medicaid Provider status
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical Family Medicine experience
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish or other languages is a plus
