Position Summary

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating, testing, and refining CNC machining programs for the production of precision components. This individual will collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure streamlined manufacturing processes, accurate programming, and ongoing enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and optimize CNC programs for milling operations
  • Develop custom components and tooling for production purposes
  • Formulate machining methods and tooling strategies
  • Assist in the setup and operation of CNC milling machines during production
  • Test, troubleshoot, and validate CNC programs on production machinery
  • Adjust programs to accommodate engineering modifications and product updates
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance machining efficiency
  • Maintain programming documentation and revision control
  • Support process improvements to minimize cycle times and enhance quality
  • Ensure all programs conform to safety, quality, and customer specifications

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's Degree preferred (Engineering or Manufacturing Technology)
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC Programming experience
  • Expertise in programming CNC milling machines
  • Proficiency with CAD software and CNC programming
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities

Preferred

  • CATIA experience
  • Epicor ERP experience
  • Aerospace manufacturing background
  • Experience with intricate precision-machined components
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
