Charge Nurse - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU RN)

Compensation: $115k - $130k per year

Location: Great Falls, Montana

We are in collaboration with a premier hospital organization committed to becoming the preferred healthcare provider in Montana, catering to over 250,000 residents in 17 regional counties. Currently, we are looking for a full-time Charge Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to be a part of the perioperative leadership team in Great Falls. The facility offers excellent nurse-to-patient ratios for individualized care, along with a culture centered around teamwork, safety, and advanced medical technology.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize patient flow in the Pre-Operative and PACU areas.
• Coordinate clinical care for surgical patients from admission to recovery.
• Lead shifts by assigning staff, adjusting schedules, and resolving operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety standards and documentation requirements per CPAN/ASPAN guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with PACU Supervisor, surgeons, anesthesia providers, and allied health staff.
• Provide guidance and support to the nursing and support team.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
• Licensure: Active RN license in Montana.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; CPAN or ASPAN certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in PACU nursing; leadership experience and ICU background preferred.
• Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of nursing principles, asepsis, and CPAN guidelines.
