This executive position reports directly to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and involves developing and implementing the enterprise procurement strategy across over 30 manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities include overseeing strategic sourcing, managing commodity risks, nurturing supplier partnerships, leading category management, managing indirect procurement, and spearheading digital transformation initiatives that directly impact profitability and long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's enterprise procurement strategy aligned with growth, margin expansion, supply continuity, and shareholder value.
- Lead procurement across various categories such as ingredients, packaging, contract manufacturing, MRO, logistics, and more.
- Establish top-notch category management and strategic sourcing capabilities.
- Drive commodity risk management strategies across agricultural inputs including grains, edible oils, sweeteners, dairy, cocoa, and related commodities.
- Deliver measurable cost savings, improve working capital, enhance supplier innovation, and drive EBITDA growth.
- Lead procurement transformation through analytics, AI, automation, and digital technologies.
- Develop strategic supplier partnerships to enhance innovation, resilience, quality, and customer value.
- Collaborate closely with various departments to achieve enterprise objectives.
- Build, mentor, and foster a high-performing procurement team while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain leadership experience.
- Executive leadership experience in commercial baking.
- Strong background in managing commodity-based supply chains and agricultural inputs.
- Demonstrated success in delivering cost savings, supplier performance improvements, working capital optimization, and procurement transformation.
- Experience leading procurement for complex manufacturing organizations with significant managed spend.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
