Sr Aerospace Quality Inspector
Job Title: Senior Aerospace Quality Assurance Specialist
Location: Manchester, CT
The primary responsibility of the Senior Inspector is to conduct inspections and document dimensions of aerospace components, ensuring compliance with blueprint and customer specifications.

Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Perform full inspections and first piece inspections.
- Inspect and record dimensions according to process sheets, inspection reports, and blueprints.
- Review process certifications and conduct visual and dimensional inspections.
- Utilize appropriate inspection equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
- Resolve customer issues and collaborate with internal teams to address technical problems.
Requirements:
- A.S. degree in engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with aerospace OEM customers like GE Aviation and Raytheon Technologies.
- Knowledge of First Article Inspection Reports (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) reports.
- Familiarity with customer supplier portals, including GE Aviation and Raytheon Technologies.
- Understanding of critical component processes like ESA, VSE, and SPS.
- Strong IT skills related to inspection measuring equipment and quality systems.
- Knowledge of export compliance requirements like DFAR and ITAR.
- Ability to work with a microscope or loupe and working knowledge of IPC 610/J-STD.
- Preferably, working knowledge of IPC 620.
