About the Opportunity

Our client is looking for a skilled Quality Engineer to support Overhaul & Repair (O/R) operations for a prominent aerospace manufacturing company. This role plays a crucial part in upholding product quality, regulatory adherence, and continuous enhancement throughout operations, while acting as a vital link between internal teams, vendors, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure product quality and compliance with FAA, EASA, AS9100, NADCAP, and ISO standards
  • Act as the main quality contact for customers and suppliers
  • Perform internal audits and aid in regulatory compliance efforts
  • Maintain and oversee quality records, manuals, and regulatory documentation
  • Review and sanction purchase orders and contracts from a quality viewpoint
  • Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for addressing non-conformities
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and audits
  • Support inspection tasks and assist in teardown reports and quality documentation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally for driving process enhancements and quality projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), measurement systems, inspection techniques, manufacturing processes, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Experience with AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP quality systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations and Airworthiness Directives
  • Background in aerospace or overhaul & repair environments
  • Experience with supplier quality and audit procedures

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands regularly
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs
  • Capable of working in both office and shop settings
