Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer

Location: Omaha, NE

Salary: $80-100K plus bonus

Job Summary of the Senior Quality Engineer: The Senior Quality Engineer will oversee quality initiatives, conduct root cause analysis, provide support for new product introductions, and ensure that our products consistently exceed customer expectations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers, you will work on process improvement, maintain ISO 9001 standards, drive quality enhancement efforts, and cultivate a culture of Quality Planning. The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for implementing controls to ensure that metal products meet engineering specifications, welding codes, and customer tolerances. Advanced product quality planning activities and the establishment of inspection and test plans in the manufacturing environment will also be led by the Senior Quality Engineer.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Senior Quality Engineer:

• Participate in and lead Quality in advanced product quality planning (APQP) activities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and QA systems.
• Create control plans, PFMEA, and quality plans for legacy or new products/projects.
• Manage Product and Process qualifications (CPK studies, Gage R&R).
• Monitor Rejects and CARs performance and trends for assigned areas.

Education & Experience Requirements of the Senior Quality Engineer:

• 4-year degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering; and four or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years Certified Quality Engineer.
• 3+ years Practical experience in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, weldments, assemblies, and fabrication.
• Mechanical aptitude to assemble/disassemble per engineering drawings.
