We are partnering closely with a premier regional healthcare facility to hire a full-time Rheumatologist. Operating out of a main logistical hub in Mattoon, this position offers a highly collaborative and customizable practice design. You will join a well-organized regional network with an established mid-level support team to help you maximize your clinical throughput and production potential while maintaining work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative rheumatologic care for a full spectrum of autoimmune and musculoskeletal diseases.
• Coordinate patient care and rotation across an established regional network.
• Collaborate within a team-based care model alongside existing physician and two experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
• Customize your clinical schedule, with options for a traditional Monday–Friday setup or a 4-day work week.
• Manage minor clinical call responsibilities, primarily reviewing patient lab values as needed.
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency followed by a Rheumatology Fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Rheumatology
• Active, unrestricted Illinois state medical license
• Valid DEA registration
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
