Neuro-Hospitalist

Compensation: $435,000 annually

Job Type: Full-Time | 7-On / 7-Off (Tuesday – Monday) | "Round and Go" Flexibility

Location: Mattoon, Illinois

We are in close partnership with a leading regional healthcare facility in search of a full-time Neuro-Hospitalist who is Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE). This role is solely focused on inpatient care, offering an excellent work-life balance with a 7-on/7-off schedule, night-time telemedicine support, and a low patient load. Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized inpatient neurological consultations and manage acute care in a community hospital equipped to handle strokes.
• Lead the inpatient neuro-hospitalist services independently during scheduled shifts with a manageable patient census.
• Provide coverage and consultations in the Emergency Department from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Follow a flexible "round and go" clinical model where you can depart after rounds and return if needed until 7:00 PM.
• Benefit from a dedicated teleneurology service covering nighttime inpatient and ER needs from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records for all inpatient admissions, rounds, and consultations.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Completion of an accredited Neurology Residency program
• BC/BE in Neurology
• Active Illinois state medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Valid DEA registration
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
