Job Title: Project Engineering Manager

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Salary: $125-155K plus bonus

Job Summary of the Project Engineering Manager:

Join our team as a Project Engineering Manager where you'll utilize your expertise in science and math to lead and execute large-scale, complex technical projects within the food industry. Lead a team of engineers, oversee design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Project Engineering Manager:

• Develop engineering designs, material specs, and project cost estimates.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic analysis to support designs.
• Ensure designs meet standards and codes, validate field work, and create as-built drawings.
• Review engineering submissions for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage project execution by directing vendors and contractors.
• Coordinate project schedules with plant personnel, vendors, and contractors.
• Collaborate with management and engineering teams to implement plans.
• Partner with vendors and contractors to plan layouts and meet utility requirements.
• Review consultant work, recommend adjustments, and maintain documentation.
• Conduct planning and reviews during pre-project phases.
• Define scope of work, prepare and evaluate proposals.
• Submit regular reports to management.
• Manage contract administration and review bid packages.
• Prepare project documents and monitor installations.

Education & Experience Requirements of the Project Engineering Manager:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years experience.
• 2+ years in a leadership position.
• Sound engineering principles and project management skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to travel and work well in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in engineering economics a plus.
