Maintenance Superintendent
Job Title: Maintenance Superintendent – 1st shift
Location: Cudahy, Wisconsin
Salary: $100K – 130K plus flat rate bonus
Job Summary of the Maintenance Superintendent: The Maintenance Superintendent will oversee a team of Maintenance Supervisors to enhance our building and equipment maintenance efforts. Your role will involve developing innovative strategies to reduce mechanical downtime and keep production lines running smoothly, ensuring uninterrupted product flow. Your leadership will be instrumental in improving operational efficiency and shaping the future of our plant with cutting-edge maintenance systems.
Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Maintenance Superintendent:
- Take control of maintenance systems to optimize performance and minimize costs.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, and TPM for maximum plant efficiency.
- Schedule work, minimize downtime, and increase efficiency to enhance plant performance while reducing expenses.
- Inspire the maintenance team through effective delegation, planning, and organizing.
- Ensure plant safety regulations are followed and promote a culture of safety.
- Act as a problem solver for day-to-day operational challenges.
- Collaborate with the Plant Engineer to implement a top-tier Preventive and Predictive Maintenance program.
- Analyze data and improve processes to maintain optimal equipment condition.
- Track and report maintenance performance through Key Performance Indicators.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to maximize maintenance function efficiency.
Education & Experience Requirements of the Maintenance Superintendent:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 3+ years' relevant experience in the food manufacturing industry.
- Previous experience in Maintenance Supervision.
- Strong technical skills in mechanical/electrical fields.
- Ability to lead resource planning in a large manufacturing setting.
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance management systems like preventive/predictive maintenance and TPM.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- May be required to work extended hours and weekends.
