Neurologist – Outpatient

Compensation: $475,000 per year

Job Type: Full-Time | Employed | Exclusively Outpatient (Optional Inpatient Exposure Available)

Location: Mattoon, Illinois

We are in close partnership with a top regional healthcare facility in search of a full-time Outpatient Neurologist who is Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE). This position, located within the main hospital building, provides a dedicated outpatient clinic setting, a strong support team, and no traditional hospital call responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive outpatient neurological evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for a diverse patient population.
• Collaborate with an established clinic team of two physicians and one Advanced Practice Provider (APP).
• Manage outpatient workflow without mandatory hospital call duties, focusing mainly on critical patient lab value reviews.
• Customize practice scope based on personal preferences, potentially reading EEGs and/or conducting EMG reads.
• Opportunity for optional inpatient coverage if interested in acute care.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records for all clinical encounters.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Completion of accredited Neurology Residency program
• BC/BE in Neurology
• Active, unrestricted Illinois state medical license
• DEA registration
• Strong clinical judgment and collaborative communication style
