Job Title: Manufacturing/Process Engineer

Location: Decorah, Iowa

Salary: $75-95K plus bonus

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing/Process Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the company's goals and vision by developing, maintaining, and enhancing production processes. This position focuses on ensuring process stability, continuous improvement, and providing support for capital projects. Collaboration with various departments, including Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, is essential to ensure efficient, safe, and consistent manufacturing processes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support daily manufacturing operations by monitoring process performance and addressing any issues that arise.
• Develop, document, and maintain work instructions, process flows, routings, and standard work.
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement, such as reducing scrap and enhancing efficiency.
• Implement process changes to enhance safety, quality, and throughput.
• Support new product or process introductions by assisting with setup, trials, and documentation.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to tackle process issues.
• Identify and eliminate waste, reduce scrap, and minimize inefficiencies.
• Lead capital project initiatives and oversee all phases to improve operational capabilities.
• Coordinate collaboration with vendors and cross-functional teams for successful project implementation.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or related field) required
• 4–7 years of hands-on manufacturing or process engineering experience
• Experience in lean manufacturing and capital projects
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis
• Ability to work effectively across different departments
• Willingness to travel up to 15% for business needs
