Job Description: Automation Controls Engineer

An exciting opportunity is available for an Automation Controls Engineer at our company located in Angola, NY. We are seeking a highly skilled individual with expertise in electrical engineering, specializing in process control and automation design and development.

Key qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering PE, Computer Science, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in engineering development, team support, technical management, project coordination, and full cycle project management. Additionally, they should be proficient in troubleshooting.

We are specifically looking for a candidate with the following skills and experiences:

• A comprehensive technical background with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and configuring electronic control systems, with a focus on Allen Bradley PLC's, HMI's Variable Frequency Drives, and related communication interfaces. Previous experience in an industrial environment, preferably in food processing, is preferred.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot automated machine systems, components, and electrical devices using test equipment.
• Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and PLC ladder logic.
• Knowledge and understanding of electrical safety standards and codes.
