Sr. Estimator (Mechanical/Civil/Structural)– Industrial EPC & Data Center Construction

Location: Channelview, TX

Fully onsite. 40-45 hours week M - F. Minimal travel.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned Sr. Estimator (Mechanical/Civil/Structural) to be part of our team in Houston, TX. The primary focus will be to provide cost estimates for large-scale construction projects, with a major emphasis on the growing data center market. Projects also include those in the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, and heavy industrial sectors.

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for creating accurate and competitive cost estimates for EPC and design-build projects. This role demands a solid understanding of industrial construction techniques, material takeoffs, labor efficiency, and cost management.

What You'll Do

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical construction, with a key focus on piping and mechanical systems
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and establish pricing for labor, materials, and equipment utilizing Trimble Accubid and Microsoft Excel
• Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to ensure precise and comprehensive estimates
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to validate assumptions and execution strategies
• Develop pricing for lump sum, unit rate, and time-and-materials proposals
• Create construction schedules using Microsoft Project
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure alignment with project scope and estimating standards
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities
• Assist in bid reviews, estimate reconciliations, and post-bid handoff meetings
• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost data, and productivity benchmarks

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; OR 10 years experience in lieu of degree
• Over 10 years of estimating experience in industrial construction, with a strong focus on mechanical/piping scopes
• Detailed knowledge of civil and structural construction methods and cost factors
• Proficiency with Trimble Accubid and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics, civil drawings, and structural plans
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience in supporting EPC or design-build project delivery models is preferred
• Minimal travel required for pre-bid site visits
