NDT Level II Technician
Job Opportunity: Non-Destructive Testing Level II Technician
Location: Springfield, MA
Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented NDT Level II Technician certified in one or more of the following methods:
- Fluorescent Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Wet Fluorescent Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
- Contact Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
This role will involve collaborating with the Responsible/Method Level III and other technical staff to develop and maintain a compliant NDT program supporting aerospace and Submarine Industrial Base weldments. The program will adhere to NADCAP, NAVSEA, ASNT, customer, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, calibrate, and standardize NDT equipment
- Process and inspect components according to approved procedures
- Interpret and evaluate inspection results
- Document findings and maintain quality records
- Provide training and supervision to Level I personnel
- Submit work instructions for final approval by a Level III certified in the method
Required Qualifications:
- Current or previous NAS-410 Level II qualification in the specified methods
- Knowledge of NDT equipment and processes
- Understanding of NDT codes, specifications, and procedures
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Effective communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical training in NDT, welding, or related field
- Experience inspecting aerospace or defense components
- Familiarity with NADCAP, NAVSEA, and ASNT requirements
