Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist – 1st & 2nd shifts

Location: Waterloo, Iowa

Salary: $60-65K

Job Summary of the Supply Chain Specialist: The Inventory Control Specialist will be in charge of fulfilling inventory requests by handling the reception and distribution of parts and supplies to various production departments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Specialist:

• Receives merchandise by unloading vehicles; checks merchandise for damage; verifies freight bill.
• Fills orders by identifying requested items; retrieves items from stock; packs and labels items; notes back order; verifies completeness.
• Prepares orders for carrier service by packing and labeling merchandise for delivery to carrier or arranging pickup, while maintaining carrier records.
• Controls inventory by conducting physical counts and reconciling with inventory system; notifies purchasing department when reorder points are reached; retrieves unused or excess supplies and equipment and reinstates them into inventory.
• Provides information by answering questions; inputting and generating data; completing forms.
• Supports other departments by setting up regular deliveries of standard orders; determining other predictable supply needs.
• Maintains warehouse vehicles and equipment by cleaning; adhering to manufacturer's standards of use; performing and scheduling preventive maintenance; reporting damage or mechanical problems to supervisor.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.

Education & Experience Requirements of the Supply Chain Specialist:

• High School Diploma
• Valid driver's license.
• Hold or be able to obtain forklift certification.
• Ability to drive and operate equipment.
