Maintenance Manager
Maintenance Manager
We are searching for a skilled Maintenance Manager to join a growing manufacturing company. This role involves overseeing all maintenance activities related to facilities and equipment, leading a team of maintenance professionals, and ensuring the safe, efficient operation of production equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and train maintenance technicians and support staff.
- Plan and supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Maintain production machinery, facility systems, utilities, and supporting equipment.
- Minimize equipment downtime through root-cause analysis and corrective measures.
- Create maintenance schedules that meet production needs.
- Manage the computerized maintenance management system, work orders, records, and spare-parts inventory.
- Establish and track maintenance performance metrics such as downtime, response time, and equipment reliability.
- Coordinate equipment installations, upgrades, repairs, and capital projects.
- Maintain relationships with external contractors, equipment suppliers, and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety policies, environmental standards, and other guidelines.
- Support initiatives for continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and cost reduction.
- Develop and oversee operating and capital budgets for the maintenance department.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and operations management.
- Offer technical support for complex equipment issues when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, facilities management, or related field preferred.
- Five or more years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Prior experience in maintenance leadership or supervision required.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment.
- Experience with PLC-controlled machinery, industrial controls, HVAC, compressors, boilers, and facility systems preferred.
- Proficiency with a CMMS or similar maintenance management system.
- Excellent leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of OSHA standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and industrial safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous-improvement methodologies.
- CMRP or similar maintenance and reliability certification.
- Experience managing capital projects and equipment installations.
