Inspector of Quality Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect aero-engine hardware and completed shipping orders using visual inspection and gaging methods.
  • Measure components using hand gages, optical comparators, and advanced thread gages.
  • Review blueprints, specifications, and quality requirements to determine inspection criteria.
  • Verify technical records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Enter, retrieve, and maintain quality data in databases.
  • Support First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) packages.
  • Identify and document nonconforming material.
  • Create digital photographic documentation as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet quality expectations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in a technical discipline preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant inspection experience or 5 years without a technical degree.
  • Working knowledge of blueprint interpretation, quality requirements, and GD&T.
  • Hands-on experience with manual inspection and photographic documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a regulatory-controlled environment.
  • U.S. Person status required.

SCHEDULE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • On-site role in Enfield, Connecticut.
  • Operations run Monday through Saturday between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
  • Initial schedule is expected to total 48 hours per week.
  • Hourly employees are paid 1.5 times their regular rate for overtime.
  • Desk work, walking, standing, and occasional lifting involved.
  • Safety shoes required. Minimal to no travel.
