Orthopedic Surgeon – General

An established, esteemed healthcare organization in Northwest Indiana is in search of a General Orthopedic Surgeon who is Board Certified or Board Eligible to join their expanding, physician-led group practice in Hobart, Indiana.

Located in the Greater Chicagoland area, this opportunity provides a blend of a thriving surgical practice, advanced hospital facilities, and an excellent work-life equilibrium. Work in a HIMSS Stage VII environment with complete EPIC EHR integration that incorporates modern AI capabilities. You will collaborate with a supportive team of physicians and clinical staff in a financially stable healthcare system ready to assist you in establishing a successful surgical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient general orthopedic surgical care, including joint replacements, fracture care, arthroscopy, and musculoskeletal trauma management.
• Conduct evaluations in outpatient clinics and perform elective and emergent surgical procedures.
• Participate in a shared, equitable orthopedic call rotation.
• Utilize state-of-the-art surgical technologies and EPIC EHR with AI-driven documentation enhancements.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including primary care providers, physical therapists, pain management specialists, and hospitalists.
• Help advance surgical quality protocols while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited US medical school or international equivalent (MD or DO).
• Completed an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency program; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Active and unrestricted Indiana medical license (or eligible for state licensure within 90–120 days).
• Strong clinical and surgical competency across general orthopedic care with a commitment to high-quality patient outcomes.
