Located in a beautiful coastal area, our top-notch long-term care facility focuses on providing excellent, individualized care in a supportive, luxurious environment.

We are looking for a dynamic Risk Manager / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee clinical quality and risk management. Direct experience handling, investigating, and reporting accidents and incidents to the Department of Health (DOH) is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the investigation, documentation, and mandatory reporting of all facility accidents, incidents, and reportable events to the DOH.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) to supervise daily nursing operations and uphold high clinical quality standards throughout the facility.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of clinical incidents to identify root causes and implement immediate corrective action plans.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local DOH regulations and prepare the facility for state surveys.
  • Educate and train nursing staff on safety protocols, risk reduction strategies, and proper incident documentation.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Must have hands-on experience submitting accident and incident reportables to the DOH.
  • 3+ years of RN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or sub-acute facilities.
  • Prior experience in roles such as ADON, Risk Manager, Quality Improvement Coordinator, or Clinical Supervisor in long-term care.
  • Thorough knowledge of DOH reporting requirements, state surveys, and risk management.
