Fabrication Engineer Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

An established company with a significant market share in manufacturing is seeking a Fabrication Engineer at a plant site in the southwest area of Atlanta, GA. This position will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and involve planning and designing manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and achieve manufacturing goals.

The role offers major company benefits, bonus potential, and a 401k with a 100% match of up to 5%. The typical working hours are 8-5, with the possibility of up to 45-50 hours per week.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design production tooling using 2D & 3D software like SolidWorks
  • Implement productivity enhancements on current production lines
  • Perform root cause analysis of failures and recommend process changes
  • Design and implement production processes for new and existing products
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to optimize productivity

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience along with at least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience. Proficiency in 3D modeling software (specifically SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office is required.
