KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Four-year degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred; consideration given to candidates with partial or associate degrees and relevant experience
• Prior experience as an estimator for a general contractor, specifically in site work projects
• Expertise in estimating grading and utilities for various projects, including site development, industrial, commercial, mining, and utilities
• Experience estimating projects ranging from $500k to $10 million
• Ability to accurately estimate labor, equipment, and material costs for self-performed work
• Familiarity with construction assemblies and project phases
• Skilled in producing estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings, as well as detailed final contract estimates
• Capability to assess construction risks and reflect them in estimates, along with identifying constructability issues and value-engineering alternatives
• Strong team player with effective communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe software; experience with takeoff/modeling software like Agtek, Trimble Business Center, Carlson, or Cad preferred
• Prior experience with Bid2Win (B2W) Heavy Bid (HCSS) or similar software
• Possibility of required travel within SC, NC, and GA
