Salary: $60K -75K
Job Summary of the Production Supervisor: The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe and timely completion of scheduled production jobs. This role involves directing and supervising production employees, managing shift operations, enforcing company policies, delegating tasks to shift personnel, assisting with plant cleaning and organization, and performing production tasks as needed. The Production Supervisor serves as a vital link between production employees and company management.
Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor:
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in work areas
- Work closely with the Production Manager
- Coordinate personnel scheduling for scheduled runs with Process Lead
- Directly supervise production associates, prioritize schedules, and delegate work assignments
- Fill out daily shift reports
- Respond to operational issues and troubleshoot as needed
- Comply with GMP and Food Safety guidelines
- Drive innovation and operational excellence through efficiency improvements
- Maintain quality standards and procedures
- Participate in cross-functional teams to promote operational excellence and innovation
- Train new and existing employees on processes and methods to meet quality, quantity, and safety standards
- Coordinate environmental sanitation activities to meet regulatory requirements during assigned shifts
- Evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure completion of all required production paperwork
Education & Experience Requirements of the Production Supervisor:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher
- 1-2 years of previous manufacturing or production experience
- Background in Food/Beverage/Consumer Products Manufacturing
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Experience with EXCEL spreadsheets and MS Word
- Flexibility in work schedule preferred
