Job Title: Project Engineering Manager

Location: Nashville, TN

Salary: $125K -155K plus bonus

Job Summary of the Project Engineering Manager:

Seeking a talented Project Engineering Manager to lead and execute large-scale, complex technical projects within the food industry. This role involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions with the opportunity to lead a team of engineers. The ideal candidate will work independently on most tasks, providing guidance on intricate challenges when needed.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Project Engineering Manager:

• Develop engineering designs, material specs, and project cost estimates.
• Ensure designs meet required standards and codes, validate field work, and create as-built drawings.
• Manage project execution by directing vendors and contractors.
• Coordinate project schedules with plant personnel, vendors, and contractors.
• Partner with vendors and contractors to plan layouts and meet utility requirements.
• Review consultant work, recommend adjustments, and maintain documentation.
• Conduct planning and reviews during pre-project phases.
• Define scope of work, prepare and evaluate proposals.
• Submit regular reports to management on project status.
• Manage contract administration and reviews bid packages.
• Prepare project documents and monitor installations to ensure they meet specifications.

Education & Experience Requirements of the Project Engineering Manager:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in a leadership position.
• Ability to apply sound engineering principles and knowledge of project scheduling.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, organizational planning, teamwork, and adaptability skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
