Vice President of Franchise Recruiting

About the Role:

The Franchise Recruitment Vice President is responsible for leading a team of recruiters to attract and select future Owner-Operators. Our stores are independently owned and operated by individuals or pairs with retail management experience and an entrepreneurial spirit. The Vice President will oversee a team of approximately 15+ recruiters who generate over 30,000 leads annually to identify Aspiring Operators nationwide. Aspiring Operators undergo a rigorous five-month training program before being selected for a store. The goal for identifying Aspiring Operators in 2024 is 70, with increasing goals each year to support our growing store count. The Vice President will report to the Chief Stores Officer.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and implementing a strategic plan for Aspiring Operators Recruitment, including expansion into new markets and lead generation strategies
  • Scaling the team and department functions to achieve recruitment goals
  • Communicating the value proposition to prospective Aspiring Operators
  • Setting recruitment targets to match store opening needs and collaborating with other teams
  • Managing the recruitment budget and marketing costs
  • Developing an internal recruiting program in partnership with the Aspiring Operators training team
  • Motivating and developing the team, setting goals, providing coaching and feedback, and addressing performance issues
  • Using resource tools to develop pipeline opportunities
  • Traveling to meet and network with stakeholders and potential candidates
  • Monitoring industry and market trends

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in recruiting and leading recruitment efforts for customer-facing business leaders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
  • Passion for working with Independent Operators to help them improve and grow their businesses
  • Proven talent assessment skills
  • Strong planning and analytical abilities
  • Passion for collaboration and driving results
  • Excellent listening and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and effective time management
  • Background in grocery, retail, or customer service
  • Experience in performance assessment and coaching
  • Excellent communication skills
