Job Requirements

  • Education:
    • Minimum: High School diploma
    • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field
  • License/Certification:
    • Preferred: Microsoft, VMware, Cisco networking, EMC storage, or similar industry certifications
  • Experience:
    • Minimum: 3+ years working experience in information technology or a related field
    • Preferred: 5+ years working experience in information technology or a related field. Prior experience in managing complex IT infrastructure in a highly available, 24x7x365 environment. Healthcare experience.


The Systems Administrator is responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, performance tuning, and recovery procedures for mission-critical enterprise systems. They maintain and ensure the security, availability, and performance of computers, servers, storage, and applications in a multi-site Windows environment. The ideal candidate must have a passion for technology and knowledge of how to best meet end-user and business needs. They serve as a technical expert in system administration for Microsoft Servers, VMware, Horizon, Microsoft 365, Cloud services, etc. This position also involves recommending the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications. The Systems Administrator performs a broad range of complex computer systems administration duties, including:

  • Provides technical support for workstation, server, and network hardware, software, and peripheral equipment
  • Upgrades existing hardware and software
  • Corrects reported hardware and/or software problems
  • Performs a variety of technical tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility
  • Manages and supports a staff of 60 beds
  • Covers multiple counties, with over 500 million in annual revenue, as a not-for-profit organization
  • Handles 2064 discharges
