Store Manager

Responsibilities

  • Achieve personal sales and customer engagement objectives
  • Oversee all necessary activities to meet store goals, including financial targets, customer service, HR management, operational controls, payroll, and expenses, while fostering employee and customer engagement
  • Manage the setup and arrangement of advertising displays and merchandise to drive sales
  • Lead the gallery and its team members in a professional and inclusive manner, adhering to HR standards and company policies
  • Supervise part-time sales staff, conduct performance discussions, set clear objectives, and hold associates accountable
  • Coordinate and execute various customer events and classes to achieve financial goals
  • Deliver excellent customer service, prioritize customer satisfaction, and serve as a role model for the team
  • Recruit, select, develop, and retain a high-performing store team

Qualifications

  • Passion and creativity, with a willingness to share sewing expertise
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Retail experience of at least one year, with a proven track record in closing sales
  • Ability to forecast business trends, analyze data, and optimize store performance
  • Strong knowledge of sewing machines and products
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment
  • Effective communication skills using various technologies
  • Physical ability to move around the office and handle products weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, holidays, and weekends
