Store Manager

Responsibilities

  • Achieve personal selling and client engagement goals
  • Oversee all activities necessary to achieve store goals, including financial objectives, client service, human resources management, operational controls, payroll, and operating expenses while fostering employee and client engagement
  • Manage the arrangement of advertising displays and merchandise on counters or tables to drive sales
  • Lead and support the gallery and its team members in a professional and inclusive manner, following human resource standards outlined in company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
  • Supervise part-time sales employees, conducting performance discussions, setting clear objectives, and ensuring accountability to goals
  • Coordinate and execute various events and classes to achieve financial goals
  • Provide excellent customer service and prioritize client satisfaction
  • Recruit, select, develop, and retain full store team while holding individuals accountable for performance

Qualifications

  • Creativity and passion with a willingness to share sewing expertise
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Business or Fashion Design/Merchandising degree is a plus!
  • At least one year of retail experience with a demonstrated ability to close sales and analyze business trends
  • Detailed knowledge of our machines and products
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing retail environment
  • Effective communication skills through various forms of technology
  • Physical ability to move around the office and lift heavy products
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate business needs, including evenings, holidays, and weekends
