Store Manager

Responsibilities

  • Achieve personal selling and client engagement goals
  • Oversee all activities necessary to meet store goals, including financial targets, client service, HR management, operational controls, payroll, and operating expenses, while fostering associate and client engagement
  • Supervise the arrangement of merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales
  • Manage the gallery and its team members in a professional and inclusive manner, adhering to HR standards outlined in company policies
  • Directly supervise part-time sales employees, conducting effective performance discussions, setting clear objectives, and holding associates accountable for goals
  • Coordinate and execute various events and classes to achieve financial goals
  • Provide excellent customer service, acting as a role model and ensuring the client remains the top priority
  • Recruit, select, develop, and retain a full store team and ensure individual accountability for performance

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate creativity, passion, and willingness to share sewing expertise with customers
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with a degree in Business or Fashion Design/Merchandising considered a plus
  • One or more years of retail experience with a successful sales record, ability to forecast and analyze business trends, and manage payroll expense to maximize store performance
  • Direct knowledge of company products and machines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment
  • Effective communication skills using various technologies
  • Ability to occasionally move inside the office and lift products weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Flexible schedule availability including evenings, holidays, and weekends
