Sr. Safety & Security Manager

Senior Safety and Security Leader

Job Location: Lewiston Woodville, NC

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical expert and partner with operation leadership to deliver operational results through impactful safety, health, and security solutions.
  • Lead all safety and security efforts for the Lewiston, NC food manufacturing complex and other eastern NC facilities by continuously improving safety processes and maintaining a world-class culture.
  • Manage safety for live production and garage/transportation operations in non-manufacturing facilities within the vicinity of the primary assignment in conjunction with the regional safety director.
  • Directly lead and manage daily activities and personnel matters of the facility and its security contract personnel.
  • Lead facility security team/guard force in managing security processes, including developing and administering site security practices and policies, tracking key performance indicators, and conducting site surveys and audits.
  • Provide technical expertise for cross functional teams to ensure safe operational processes and capital/engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with functional experts in vehicle safety, corporate security, environmental, PSM, and other areas to align facility activities and objectives.
  • Promote safety awareness and drive associate engagement by continuously interacting with the hourly workforce.
  • Lead the development of the site safety business plan and track facility and corporate KPIs/metrics.
  • Provide training support to ensure all required safety training is effectively completed.
  • Conduct effective investigations on all safety and security incidents, determine root causes, and develop appropriate corrective actions.
  • Participate in the incident command team and respond to emergency situations.
  • Liaise with third party assessors, auditors, and inspectors.
  • Build relationships with occupational health/medical to improve worker safety and wellness.
  • Assist in managing worker's compensation claims.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Safety & Heath, Industrial Health Management, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Environment, Safety & Health preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing safety management with multi-site responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a world-class safety program.

Salary: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00
