We are currently seeking a motivated and team-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our growing team.


The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for engineering and designing electrical systems for assigned projects. This role will specifically involve utilizing knowledge and skills in engineering and designing HVAC and plumbing projects. The Electrical Engineer will identify and provide solutions to electrical design issues, and will develop conceptual designs following the review and approval of the Electrical Engineer Team Lead, Engineering Manager, and Preconstruction Manager.


  • Assist in all aspects of electrical design for the assigned project
  • Report to the team lead electrical engineer regarding scheduling requirements
  • Create construction drawings, perform calculations, and write specifications as directed by the team lead electrical engineer
  • Have a thorough understanding of the project's scope of work, engineering hours budget, and construction budget
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of drafting, design, and engineering standards
  • Apply engineering practices, mathematics, materials, and physical sciences knowledge to complete drawings with minimal supervision
  • Collaborate with project teams to monitor and meet project schedule milestones
  • Conduct site surveys and equipment assessments
  • Provide project engineering coordination during construction as assigned
  • Perform support tasks on projects as directed by the team lead electrical engineer
  • Assist in developing accurate preliminary design solutions for prospective complex projects with tight deadlines
  • Engage with project stakeholders, contractors, and third-party associates to cultivate and maintain productive working relationships
  • Undertake other tasks within the scope of this role as assigned




  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience with a professional engineering firm or electrical contractor engaged in MEP related or similar work
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel to work sites, up to 25%


  • Understanding of electrical and construction strategies and methods related to the renovation of commercial and institutional buildings and similar facilities
  • Proficiency in systems design, such as Fire Alarm, TeleCom, Security, etc.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and other software commonly used in the construction industry
  • Familiarity with project management software, such as Procore and Bluebeam Revu
  • Proficient user of AutoCAD/Revit Design software
  • Excellent mathematical skills for performing job duties, preparing budgets, and analyzing data
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively relay information to various audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Highly collaborative and committed to sharing information with team members

Work is primarily conducted in office settings, but may occasionally involve outdoor work for inspections and other field activities. Hand-eye coordination is necessary for operating drafting instruments, computers, and office equipment. Occasional standing, walking, and the use of hands, fingers, and arms are required. Some tasks may involve sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, hearing, and smelling. Occasional lifting and moving of up to 10 pounds may be necessary. The job requires normal vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally work in outside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places, and may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Travel may be required, including overnight stays for multiple nights. Modes of travel may include personal vehicle or commercial airplane.
